The Swanny team aren’t just wine experts; they know a thing or two about beer and spirits! Tony specialises in spirits and Jack is our beer expert. Come in-store and speak to us!

Steve Perry: Steve has been expertly advising and educating Perth’s western suburbs on wine since 1985. He was a director of the legendary Cottesloe Wine Store – John Coppins until 1997 and now leads the team as General Manager. He has traveled extensively around the wine-growing regions of Australia and New Zealand, and has been the Chairman of the Liquor Barons Tasting Panel for more than 10 Years.

Desert Island Drink: Champagne and plenty of it! The famous phrase from Madame Lily Bollinger comes to mind!

Tony Gangemi: Since he was a boy, in his parents’ well known West Perth store Gangemi’s, Tony has been a provider to the great and good of Perth. Tony is our Senior Manager responsible for all shop operations and logistics. He has a keen palate and advocates balance and generosity in all his wines. He shuns the pretentious side of wine and has many loyal followers of his recommendations.

Dessert Island Drink: It has to be Champagne!

Stef Biagi: Since joining the wine trade 12 years ago, Stef has been a part of the management team for six fine wine stores in WA (including 2 Liquor Barons) and has a loyal customer base who track him down for his latest recommendations. He has completed all of the wine courses at the Wine Education Centre (Claremont Showgrounds) and the WSET Level 2 International Wine qualification. He specialises in finding vinous gems from boutique vineyards and is responsible for sourcing, cataloguing, preparing, and tasting all wines for the esteemed Liquor Barons Wine Panel.

Desert Island Drink: There’s plenty of international and Australian wines but at this time of year, Coopers Green!

Jack Green: Jack joined the Swanbourne family over 4 years ago and is our self proclaimed expert in all aspects of beer, both production and consumption. His enthusiasm for beer since joining has enabled us to exponentially increase the range of beers from around the world, check out some of the range on Instagram! He hails from the famous Margaret River wine region where his interest in wine was fostered. He has since completed Level 1 and 2 of the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET), an internationally recognised qualification.

Desert Island Drink: Belgian beer Saison Dupont with berry tart is a date for me on Christmas Day! And perhaps the next day too.
