Why ‘duck yoke yellow’?
You may wonder why the colour ‘duck yoke yellow’ was chosen for the branding. It was the owner and Managing Director, Madame Clicquot (who became a widow ‘veuve’ in her twenties) that was looking for a striking colour. While eating her eggs at breakfast, she was inspired by the strong colour and the deep yellow of the yolk against the white egg.
